The Illustrated Accordion exhibition focuses on books created in the accordion form. The structure of an accordion book is simple: a long piece of paper is folded into pages that can be read like a book or spread open and displayed like a banner. Featuring works of book artists from all over the world, the books in this exhibit take this book form to a new level.

This moveable artist’s book was created during the Plein Air with a Flair event hosted by the New Hampshire Chapter of the Women’s Caucus for Art at the Harris Center for Conservation in Hancock, NH. “My afternoon was spent watching water bugs scamper across the water’s surface of a lily pond. The bright blue sky reflecting on the surface, the green foliage below, the fragrant pink blossoms casting bursts of color… all combined in this abstraction of a lovely day.”
