I thoroughly enjoyed my time making my Cup of Comfort!
Marble Eye, marbling on cotton, felt, cotton embroidery floss, marker
“A collaborative art project to soothe your soul.” Concord, NH artists Laura Morrison and Gail Smuda of the Loosely Knit Alliance have conceived of this project to address the national mental health crisis, amplified by the Covid-19 pandemic. The project aims to portray a self-care ritual through stitching that brings comfort during difficult times.
Their kit includes: A cup outline is stitched on soft flannel, embroidery hoop, needle and embroidery floss. The cup image is used as a foundation and point-of-inspiration to design the embroidery. While stitching, take the opportunity to contemplate additional ways to nurture and support yourself.
100% of the sale profits will go to mental health nonprofits.
What a fantastic project; thrilled to be part of it!
