Transform books, old or new, into art objects. The book becomes a canvas, a sculpture or a reliquary of personally meaningful content. Paste Papers Workshop with Cristina Hajosy in her home studio. Sunday, February 3, 2019 from 10am to 4pm. All materials and lunch included. Paste Paper, one of the earliest forms of decorative papers, is commonly used for bookbinding, as well as calligraphy, printmaking, collage, stamping, and origami. Paste Paper is created using acrylic paint or similar pigments mixed in a suspension of paste. After being applied to a dampened sheet of paper, the colored paste can be patterned by pulling various utensils across the paste. Design your own paper patterns!
