Adult Evening Workshop
November 5 – December 3, 2015 (No class on Thanksgiving!)
4 Thursdays, 6 – 9pm
Do you have an SLR that’s never left the automatic setting? Are you frustrated with the image quality of your photos? Do the words aperture, shutter, and white balance seem like a foreign language? Join Cristina for a 4-week, intensive class of lecture, shooting, and photo critique.
This class begins with the fundamentals. Students learn about camera controls, light, exposure and digital workflow. We’ll explore composition, color theory and issues of visual perception. We’ll take a good look at contemporary photographers and the context for photography today. Assignments are geared toward understanding a range of technical skills, creative image making, and developing a personal visual style.
Prerequisites: A digital camera (DSLR or point-and-shoot), memory card and a USB flash drive for critique of photos.
