This weekend workshop will explore Turkish-style paper marbling. We will create beautiful stone patterns and playful combed designs. Using various techniques, we will expand the concepts into unique creations that highlight the floating and freeform nature of this medium. Working on water thickened with carrageenan (Irish moss), the patterns are easily controlled and the colors become vibrant. Experiment with a wide range of materials, colors, and papers.

Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 12:00 pm — 4:00 pm

All supplies, as well as instructional handouts, are included.

Due to the nature of the materials, students will need to bring an apron or dress appropriately.

Class limited to ten.

Cost: $150 (Members), $200 (Non-members).
$20.00 materials fee to be paid directly to instructor.
