Contemporary Paper Marbling by Cristina Hajosy
Window Exhibition
November 9 through December 21, 2021
These artworks were created with experimental marbling techniques involving long periods of time and alternative chemicals. It’s an examination of the pigments and their struggles beyond the marbling vat’s surface – and beyond the historical context of paper marbling residing inside the cover of books. More like a monoprint, these prints journey away from overall patterns towards singular imagery.
Newton Art Association artists has exhibited their work at Keyes Drug in Auburndale for the last 10 years. This exhibition window space is flanked by foot traffic from local coffee shops and businesses.
