A handmade star book can be presented as an artist’s book or as a hanging ornament. Excite viewers with the visual movement and performative qualities of this unusual book structure. Learn basic bookmaking techniques and experiment with hand-marbled papers, mixed media and collage scraps to customize your books.
There so many approaches to content. Excellent for creative poetry, wish lists, sweet nothings, photographs, abstract designs, and more!
A large assortment of scrap papers, collage materials, magazine clippings…random bits of all sorts will be available. Think about adding your own photos, personal artifacts, and ephemera to the mix!
Open to everyone ages 18 & up, all skill levels, artists, non-artists, and you folks that are curious.
Materials fee $25, payable in class.
