Workshop: Fabric Marbling on Cotton

Spend a Sunday making beautiful, marbled fabrics for your next quilting or art project!
Students will learn the Turkish form of Water Marbling, “Ebru,” to produce lovely patterns in either traditional or contemporary styles, with figurative elements like flowers, hearts, fish or go with abstract shapes. With custom color choices and a personal marbling vat, each participant will complete yards of personal designs.
The morning will begin with fresh brewed coffee and home-baked goodies at 10:30am alongside a sampling of marbled designs for inspiration.
Students will choose from white or solid-colored 100% cotton fabric.
Cotton yardage in sizes: 11 x 15, 15 x 23 and 24 x 24 inches.
We’ll break for a fresh, vegetarian lunch with homemade soup, salad and gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches.
Open to everyone ages 18 & up, all media and skill levels. It’s a messy business, so please dress accordingly!
