Of all the non-traditional book structures, the Accordion, or “Concertina” is a favorite for its dramatic presentation. Experienced by the viewer as both a display easel and a book, the accordion book provides multiple interactions and perspectives that a traditional book cannot. The long, folded or hinged panel is especially successful in presenting photographs, collage, small artworks, or anything that has a narrative or linear progression. From a simple single sheet to more complicated variations, the possibilities are endless. By the end of this one day workshop, you’ll fall in love with this book structure too!
All materials provided. Open to everyone ages 18 & up, all skill levels, artists, non-artists, and you folks that are curious.
