Springtime means poetry at the Attleboro Arts Museum! On Thursday, May 28, the Museum will host the 9th annual Boston Poetry Slam, the Providence Poetry Slam, and other invitees in a live poetry competition to showcase local poets traveling to the 2015 National Poetry Slam. Visitors to the Museum that evening will enjoy a poetry open mic and top-notch performance competition, including an opportunity to judge the slam with Simone Beaubien as the SlamMaster. Poets, listeners, and art enthusiasts of all ages attended this high-energy literary event. Several visual artists will be creating artworks around the perimeter of the museum in reaction to the poetry slam… “performance” art, of sorts.
