This combo class includes turning a wooden shallow bowl or plate and then decorating it afterward using Turkish-style marbling techniques. Start with pieces of tree limbs and trunks, make them round and take off from there. Beginners will learn basic lathe techniques while experienced students advance to the next level at their own pace. Wood will be provided in class; advanced turners may bring their own. Then decorate the bowls, creating beautiful swirls and mottling colors with marbling. Wood turning with Ken Lindgren and Marbling with Cristina Hajosy at the Eliot School. 2 sessions: Saturday, April 20 & Sunday, April 28, 2019.

Once again, Hajosy Arts is proud to be participating in this Spring’s Newton Open Studio Weekend. Cristina will be joining her fellow art educators and friends at the New Art Center’s group site. With 20+ artists in one space, it’s certain to provide a lovely stop on the art tour throughout Newton. This city-wide event is always a real treat with 150 artists!
