Marbling is a glorious way to spend a day. Both a delight in the making, as well as the having. You’ll be amazed at the process and your creations. We’ll focus on Turkish-style marbling. This method, “Ebru”, can produce lovely figurative designs of fish, flowers, birds. and abstract shapes or go with the traditional combed patterns. Your floating designs may be free-form, combed, or even blown. Embrace the design experiment with a wide variety of fabrics, sizes and finishes to inspire your creativity. Each participant will have their own vat for printing in different sizes to fit the dimensions of the fabrics and products. Typical choices include: Fabric Yardage in cotton, silk, polyester and blends, Pre-sewn “Blanks” in silks and cotton to include pocketsquare, flour sack cloth, and long scarves, Ribbons in a variety of fabrics. Of course, you’ll have custom color mixing for plenty of choices. You’ll leave with a pile of fabric marbling, strategies for marbling on your own, and a cookie in your mouth.
