Hajosy Arts is the home of Cristina Hajosy, a working artist & art educator based in Greater Boston. She has developed her skills in 20 years of practice as a photographer, teacher, bookmaker, printmaker, paper marbler and mixed media artist. Cristina's art classes are featured at various art schools, museums, at exclusive workshops and via private instruction for students of all ages.

Join Cristina Hajosy for an art workshop exploring the decorative art of paper marbling. We’ll focus on Turkish-style marbling. This method, “Ebru”, can produce lovely figurative designs of fish, flowers, birds, and abstract shapes or go with the traditional combed patterns. Marbling on fabrics! Come join Cristina in her studio for a full day of Marbling. Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 10am to 4pm. Includes all the materials, technique handouts, and lunch! Pre-made silk scarves in several sizes, silk handkerchiefs, ribbons, and a wide variety of cut yardage in cotton, linen, rayon, polyester and blends. Explore the process with both traditional and contemporary approaches to this fascinating art form.

A Long-Distance Relationship: The 26.2 Mile Journey. Exhibition April 10 to May 5, 2018. April in New England always brings the Boston Marathon into our lives. This year is the fifth anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombings. Attleboro Arts Museum has invited some wonderful artists to share their personal interpretations with a wide theme to commemorate. Spring Newton Open Studios – New Art Center group site – April 6-8, 2018

Once again, Hajosy Arts is proud to be participating in this Spring’s Newton Open Studio Weekend. Cristina will be joining her fellow art educators and friends at the New Art Center’s group site. With 25+ artists in one space, it’s certain to provide a lovely stop on the art tour throughout Newton. New this year, we’ll have expanded viewing and receptions, in addition to the Saturday and Sunday times. This city-wide event is always a real treat with 160 artists!

Fuller Craft Museum – Paper Marbling – Saturday, May 19

The marbling experience is both mediative and creative for all skill levels and artistic interests. Be prepared for a fun, messy, fast-paced art day that is “engineered for success”. All participants will have their own marbling vat, custom color choices, and plenty of paper types. We’ll explore the historical techniques and contemporary trends in this unique form of aqueous surface decoration.
