Drop-in Marbling Studio at Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum – Saturday, October 8, 2016


Experiment, engage and create in the Education Studio at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Boston. On select Saturdays each month, artists in the Boston area lead drop-in workshops in their medium for Museum visitors. Experiment with artists’ working methods and explore the creative process from multiple perspectives during these lively, hand-on workshops designed for all ages. Tuition costs are including with your museum admission! Saturday, October 8 from 11am to 4pm, Cristina Hajosy of Hajosy Arts will lead a paper marbling open studio with hands-on demonstrations.

Altered Books – Adult Workshop – The Eliot School – Sunday, May 1, 2016


Come join Cristina’s altered book class! Transform books, old or new, into art objects. The book becomes a canvas, a sculpture or a reliquary of personally meaningful content. Draw inspiration from the book’s author or content, or purely use the book as a structure. Incorporate paper cutting, collage, bookmaking and other processes. Cristina will have books on hand, or bring your own, along with small objects and images to include. Transform used books into art objects. Learn bookmaking, paper cutting, drawing, collage and decollage techniques to reinvent used books into something new. Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 9am to 3pm
