Experience an open studio bookmaking workshop with Cristina this fall! You’ll chose the book structure, the papers, the book cloth, all the materials you’ll need to complete a personal artist’s book. With 20 different techniques from which to choose, the hybrid possibilities are endless. Have a series of prints, photos, or personal ephemera that needs the perfect portfolio or handmade box? Have a specific book structure in mind? These days will provide a creative, open environment that is structured to be an introduction for beginners or an open studio for intermediate or advanced students. All levels of artists learning and sharing ideas, producing book art and expanding art practice. That’s what it’s all about.
Take a look through my library of artist’s books for inspiration or discover something new by combining elements from several structures. Start the journey by picking your materials from Cristina’s curated collection of paste papers, marbled papers, and interesting, locally-sourced papers, as well as, her collection of antique and contemporary book cloths. You could make your own book cloth from Cristina’s marbled fabric or even a personal piece of clothing from your own closet.
